ACCS Conference

I don’t talk a lot about my work on here. For those of you who don’t know, I am a fourth grade teacher. I taught at a public school for 8 years, and then 4 years ago I made the switch to a private, classical, Christian school. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. It has been a wonderful choice for me and my family. I love my school, and I love the people I work with.

Last week I had the opportunity to go to the ACCS (Association of Classical Christian Schools) conference in Frisco, TX with several of my colleagues. It is a always a great conference, very encouraging, and I always learn a lot. It was also great to get to just hang out with the people I work with and get to know them better. It is so much easier to get to know people when you are basically living with them for 4 days than when you are teaching in your separate classrooms. I had a wonderful time, and I am very grateful for our headmaster who makes it possible for us to have such great opportunities like this….and always feeds us SO well when we are there!  I am also very grateful to my sweet husband, who took on the solo parenting role for the week so I could go. 🙂

My first TopGolf experience- it was fun!

Lindsey and I introduced Gene to our Hamilton obsession on the plane ride back….if you haven’t listened to the Broadway recording of Hamilton- go do it now!
