Saturday was all about the birthday girl.
After she slept late (she was worn out from camp!), we followed our yearly tradition and went to the Donut Palace and let her pick out her donuts for breakfast. Then we came back home and had a donut feast, complete with candles. 🙂
That afternoon we took our art-loving girl to the Frist for the first time. She was so excited!
She loved all the art pieces that were on display! We already have plans to go back to when the displays change.
The ArtQuest area of the museum was a hit with both kiddos. Josie was absolutely enthralled by these stop motion machines they had to play with!
Jack loved all of it! He wanted to stay longer, and is already asking to go back.
After the museum, we hit up Chuy’s for an early dinner, because the girl wanted shrimp. 🙂
After that, she wanted to go shopping, so we went to Academy to look at all the things, and she bought herself a bow and arrow. 🙂
We made a quickish stop by Grammy and Pappy’s, so they could give her their present, and then headed to get Mexican popsicles.
She chose bubblegum, of course. 🙂
We ended the day by staying up way to late to watch “Wonder,” a movie she’s been wanting to watch since she finished the book. It was really good! We all enjoyed it.
It was a great day, celebrating this precious girl.
