On this morning we had a fancy breakfast in the hotel restaurant (included with our stay). Then we went back to our cabin to hang out and read until time to check out. After check out, we said goodbye to Highway 1 and the ocean and headed southwest to Santa Rosa.
We drove through Navarro River Redwoods State Park. The Redwoods there weren’t super wide, but they were SO tall! I couldn’t get a picture to do it justice. It was like driving through a tunnel.
After that we passed lots of vineyards and went through some of the curviest roads we’d ever driven. We ate our leftover pizza for lunch, and stopped at this place called Wicked Slush for some dessert :).
We got to our hotel fairly early and relaxed at the pool for the afternoon. Then we went to eat Japanese noodles for dinner. We had never had that, so had no clue what to expect, but it was good! (Although, eating noodles with chopsticks is a serious skill that I have definitely NOT mastered yet, lol.)
Then we went to see a movie-Ocean’s 8, which was great. 🙂
When we got back to the hotel, we got our bags packed and ready to fly home the next day.
