Weekending

We had a busy weekend around here, but it was a good one. Saturday Josie had an extra ballet rehearsal to prepare for their upcoming recital, so she did that and then went home with our friends while Jake, Jack, and I went to Jack’s soccer game. This was their last regular game-this week they do tournaments. Jack’s coach picked him as their player of the month for April. He was so excited!

After the game, Jake went to shoot bow and arrows with his friend Josh, while Jack and I ran errands and I cleaned the house a bit.

Then our friends came for dinner. The guys came after they finished shooting, and Josie came with the girls. It was a fun, casual night of grilling out and just hanging out. Those are the best kind.

Today was Mother’s Day, of course. Jake and the kids gave me some awesome new bath towels. They are SO soft. After church we all went to Nana’s to celebrate Mother’s day, and just hung out.

Most people think Nana is my mom, she looks so young! Isn’t she beautiful?

And this is the best mom I could ever ask for. Annual Mother’s Day selfie. We are both horrible selfie takers, but I wouldn’t trade these pictures for anything. 🙂

After we left Nana’s we went by Mama Judy’s to hug her neck, and then headed home to our normal Sunday night chores of packing lunches and getting laundry done. And showers…we have officially entered the days of the kids needing showers EVERY day, no matter what. 🙂

Only 8 ½ days of school left!
