We declared Josie officially better today, and both of these sweet kiddos rejoiced to finally get to play together again-they had missed each other so much!
So proud of how much Jack is learning on his mandolin! And, he’s pretty cute :).
Has hit our house hard this week. Josie came down with it on Tuesday, and she’s been the sickest she’s ever been. She seems to be on the up and up today, but then I had to come home early from school with a fever :(. Praying that Jake and Jack will stay healthy!!
Well, these three days of snow days have been glorious, but all good things must come to an end- we return to school tomorrow.
Seriously, though, some people don’t like the cooped up days that snow brings, but I LOVE them. The only time I’ve left my house since last Thursday was on Monday, because we had teacher inservice at school. Other than that, we have all been at home, the whole time, and it has been glorious. I never get bored at my house, because there are always projects I want to work on, or things I want to read, or shows I want to watch, or recipes I want to try, or fires I want to sit in front of. I am content to be cooped up.
Bow making- my sweet niece is turning ONE, and so it was time for me to make that sweet girl a bow holder, and hair bows to go with it. Josie wanted to learn to make bows, too, and she had a blast making some bows for her dolls.
And then I sewed some pillows out of some dish towels we bought on our road trip. I don’t have a sewing machine, because I hate to use a sewing machine, but I really love to hand stitch simple things (like pillows) sometimes-it is a relaxing hobby, especially curled up on my couch in front of the fire with some Netflix. 🙂
I have always been a voracious reader, so I am always intrigued when I see a reading challenge. A friend posted this on FB, and I decided I would give it a try! I won’t be able to read a book a week during the school year, but I can make up for some lost time during summer break, hopefully. I may not finish this whole list, but it will be fun trying!
I just finished this book, so I can check off “A book about science” off the list!
This was not a normal read for me, but I found it fascinating.
Here’s to lots of reading!
