So, since the day after I got my hair cut in December, Josie has been asking to cut her off and donate it, too. We agreed to let her, and I told her that I would take her when I went to get my hair cut again. She has literally been counting down the days since then!
And today was the day! I took her to one of my favorite hair stylists-every lady in my family goes to her, and she gave me my first real haircut when I was little and my first perm in the third grade! 🙂
The Before pictures:
Getting her hair washed…..
Measuring her ponytail….
She was SO excited!
So proud of her new ‘do!
And the After pictures….
She prissed around for the rest of the night, and couldn’t stop playing with it or looking in the mirror. 🙂 Having a little mini-me is fun. 🙂
I haven’t done a whole lot of reading over these snow days (I’ve been working on too many other projects), but I’ve read quite a few books since Christmas.
I found a couple of Dee Henderson’s early books. She is one of my favorite authors, and these were great books, although not quite as good as some of her more recent stuff….
This was a really cute young adult fiction book. It was sad and happy all at the same time, and well written. I really enjoyed it:
And, in my quest to read more non-fiction, I chose this one. Lots of people had recommended it. I didn’t love it. I agreed with everything that N.D. Wilson said, and he had a lot of good points in the book, but I did not care for how it was written. It was very stream-of-consciousness, which I know a lot of people love, but it was very distracting for me. I had a hard time getting through this one, but finally did.
We visited our sweet neighbors’ house today and the kids got to sled down a REAL hill for the first time-they loved it!
Having a family movie night with the kiddos last night, the main characters kiss:
Jack- (shrugs his shoulders, talking to Josie) One day when we get married, we will have to kiss.
I love that he loves his sister so very much. 🙂
