The past few weeks my awesome husband has been hard at work making us some beautiful new counter tops to replace the white laminate that I have been ready to replace since we moved in. He has done a GREAT job, and today he installed the first one! Isn’t it gorgeous?! Next weekend we’ll tackle the other side (with the sink).

Thanksgiving, Part 2

Today was another great day of family and food. We spent the whole day at Mama Judy’s with all of Jake’s family. It was a great day of eating, hanging out, playing cards, just having fun. The weather was gorgeous again, so the kids spent the better part of the day outside. Mama Judy declared today family picture day since we were all going to be under one roof, so I snapped some pictures before we ate, which proved to be a hilarious time as always. There were lots of “sorority girl” poses going on….lol. Here are just a few of my favorites:

This girl is getting too grown looking!

And so is this one!

Sweet Abby

This is, hands down, my favorite picture of the day!

My two monkeys

These two are peas in a pod-they love each other so much!

LOL.

Mee Maw with all SEVEN of her grand babies! (And some of those babies are bigger than her…)

Our gorgeous college girl….

Andrew smiles at the camera now!

The whole family

All the cousins….so glad our kiddos get to grow up with all their cousins so close! Cousins are the best kind of friends. 🙂

Thanksgiving, part 1

We have had two wonderful days of giving thanks around here. Thursday we had a morning filled with pie making and parade watching (a family tradition!), and then we headed over to Nana’s to spend the rest of the day. We had an AWESOME feast, and then just spent the rest of the day hanging out with the family. Everybody eventually got to come, just not all at the same time. It was a beautiful day, so we spent the better part of the day outside, even without jackets! Perfect fall weather. I so enjoy getting to be with my family, and its always fun to hang around after lunch is over and look at ads and do some online Christmas shopping. 🙂 Great day. I am so blessed and grateful that 1. All my family lives so close so that I can see them often and 2. My family is so close-knit. That is a rarity these days, I know, and I just love that I am as close to my cousins as I am my siblings.

Here are just a few of my favorite pics from the day:

Ta made Jack a giant, camouflage cookie. 🙂

My gorgeous husband. I love him.

Jack was serious about some ad looking!

These three monkeys are a handful!

Kinley was wearing the turkey dress that used to be Josie’s!
