We had a great Fourth around here. In the morning, Josie, Jack, and I met Ta and Tommy at their house, and we all walked to the parade together. This has become our yearly tradition.
After the parade, we walked back to Ta and Tommy’s house, and Jake and Nana came, and we all had lunch together. (Thanks, Ta and Tommy!).
After lunch, we came home for a bit so I could make my annual red, white, and blue strawberries. The kids helped, too. They love helping me cook. 🙂
In the afternoon, we headed to the Johnson’s for our annual Brown/Johnson family fish fry. It is always a lot of fun, just good hanging out with a lot of different people that we don’t always get to see. The kids swim and run around the yard, and we just sit and hang out and talk and eat fantastic food. The rain cleared in time for us all to eat, and then stayed away until it was about time to head home.
The slip-n-slide was a BIG hit 🙂
My strawberries…these are always a big hit. 🙂
My cousin Beth made this really cool cake-it was a flag inside!
Shshr wanted a picture with all the kiddos on her birthday. 🙂
