What I’ve been reading lately….

Jake and I both read this one. We still haven’t decided if we are going to read the second one or not. It was the weirdest book- It was good, and I wanted to keep reading it, but it had no plot! I have never read a book without a plot. Like I said, weird.

This has NOTHING to do with the infamous “Shades of Gray” book series. This was written way before those, and is about a Lithuanian girl in World War II, when the Soviets took over Lithuania and sent all the people to work camps. It was wonderfully written and compelling. It was definitely a “heavy” read, though- not fluff at all. I learned a lot reading this book.

I LOVED this book. It is set in the early 1900s in England and reminded me a lot of Downton Abbey. 🙂

I didn’t really read this book- I listened to it. I had a LOONG drive to make by myself on Sunday (more about that later), and so I needed something that would keep me awake. This was total fluff, a young adult novel, but it was cute and it kept me interested.

I love summer reading. 🙂
