Christmas Break reading so far. Gone Girl was a strange book-still not sure what I think of it. The Core was a book I’ve been reading about classical education, basically how to teach classically-I really enjoyed it; I don’t normally really like books that are not in novel format, but I really did enjoy this one-very informative. And the last one, The Antelope… is by one of my all time favorite blog authors-this is her second book, and I laughed out loud all the way through it, just like I did the first one (Sparkly Green Earrings). She is a PHENOMENAL author.

For Christmas this year, Nana and Shshr gave Josie some money and a “ticket” to go out to eat and shopping. Yesterday was her shopping day, and she was SO excited. They went to Opry Mills and had lunch at the Aquarium Restaurant, and walked around the whole mall. After seeing everything, she decided to spend her money in the Build-a-Bear store. She bought two bears for herself, and used the rest of her money to buy one for Jack, too :). Such a sweet girl who loves her brother so much.

Happy Birthday Jake!

It’s been a good one. Last night we had some friends over for a big taco dinner to help celebrate, and today we’ve had a complete lazy day-those are the best kind! I cooked a big lunch, and then tonight the kids went to a Vandy game with Shshr and Nana, so we rented two movies and ate leftovers on the couch and drank homemade milkshakes. Yep, it was a great day :).
