Eventful

Well, this weekend has definitely been eventful! Saturday started out wonderful, with Kinley’s sweet arrival. I’ve shared some of the iPhone pics I took, but here are few of my favorites that I took with my big camera:

It was a late night wait for sure….

Patiently waiting grandmas….

This was such an awesome text!!

She’s here!!

I loved seeing my brother in Daddy mode finally….he’s been looking forward to being a daddy since he was a little boy. 🙂 So proud for him!

Such sweet, tiny, perfect little features!!

Sweet little family!

So, so, sweet.

I got home about 4 a.m. from the hospital, and got a few hours of sleep before getting up to go to Jack’s soccer game. I already posted the video from that-he did so good!! After the soccer game, we headed to eat a quick lunch and hit the road for Jake’s cousin’s wedding in Savannah, TN (almost in Alabama). Well, we got about an hour and half into the trip when the alternator went out in my Jeep. 😛 We knew we would never make it all the way down there, and we would be stuck in the middle of nowhere with no one to come get us. So, we had to turn around. We were bummed about not getting to go to the wedding, but it was the only thing we could do. Poor Josie was super upset-she has been talking about this wedding for days! She loves weddings. 🙁 We at least made it back to Briley Parkway in Nashville before totally stalling. We called a tow truck, and Nana and Ta came to our rescue.

They were on the way to the hospital to see Kinley, so we rode with them. Now, I had told Josie and Jack they would have to wait in the waiting room (because I didn’t know if kids were allowed). I had originally not planned to bring them to the hospital at all, just take them to Chad’s house once they came home, but our plans were obviously changed for us on Saturday! So, Josie was SUPER excited when she not only got to go to the room, but they even let her HOLD Kinley! She said it made up for not getting to go the wedding. 🙂

Great-Grandma for the fourth time!

So happy to meet the newest GIRL addition to our family! 🙂

Lane came to visit, too!

Jack was totally NOT interested in his newest cousin, but he was all about seeing Lane! These two are so sweet together. 🙂

This is what Josie looks like when her Daddy is teasing her. I see this face a LOT. 🙂

After we left the hospital, we met Justin and went to eat before they took us home. Needless to say, we were all worn out from our eventful day, and ALL went to bed early last night!

Today has been a great day of church and rest. We all took naps, and I’ve had some much needed time around my house to get some things done. I always feel much better going into a week when I’ve had a good restful and productive Sunday.

Here’s to another BUSY and good week. 🙂

And the wait is over! I’m so excited to introduce my beautiful new niece, Kinley Renee! Details: born at 1:00 a.m. this morning, (3 weeks early!) 7.1 pounds, 18 ½ inches long. I’m so in love with her already, and so proud of her awesome parents! I’ll post better pictures soon, but iPhone pics will do for now. 🙂

So proud of our little buddy! He scored his first two goals at his game this morning-and I caught one of them on video :). He does so good at his games-he always plays the entire game (he’s the only one in his team that will). He listens so well to his coach, too-he may not understand what’s going on, but he tries hard!
