7 months

Jack,

Today you are officially MORE than half a year old…amazing how fast time has flown by! You are showing more and more of your beautiful personality every day, and every day we are learning more about you, our wonderful little boy.

Here’s what you’ve been up to this month….

-You are FINALLY out of 0-3 month clothes…now you wear 3 months, and some 3-6 months things.

-You’ve totally mastered sitting alone…in fact, you refuse to be any other way (unless it’s standing, holding onto someone’s fingers).

-You had your first (and second, third, fourth, etc.) sink bath-you LOVE them, and you LOVE to splash-you will soak the whole kitchen if I let you!

-You played in the dirt and grass at the park for the first time.

-We weighed you on Nana’s scale and you were 14 lbs, 8 oz.

-You tried several new foods-graham crackers, lemons, mashed potatoes, ice cream (thanks to Mee-maw! 🙂 ), saltine crackers, and puffs. You loved them all…

-You have officially mastered drinking from a straw, which makes both of our lives easier!

-You reached for Mommy for the first time…..and now you reach for EVERYTHING and ANYTHING that is near…

-Shshr took you on your first wagon ride.

-You love to “walk” while your Daddy holds your hands.

-You finally got your first tooth!! (middle-left, bottom)

-You said “da-da-da-da”

-You give Mommy kisses when she asks for them :).

-You SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME. (8:30, 4:30, then back to sleep until 6:00 when Mommy had to wake you up). However, this was a one-time deal; you normally still wake up at least 2 times….

-You went “jogging” for the first time with Mommy, Pappy, and Grammy.

-This month, you especially like being upside down, being thrown in the air, “jumping” with your Daddy, your bear lovie, loving on Mommy, Josie, being tickled, peek-a-boo, playing with pots and pans while Mommy is cooking, drinking from your straw cup, “playing” with your voice, and taking baths.

-You do NOT like having your nose wiped, being hungry for even  second longer than you feel necessary, and having a dirty diaper.

I love watching you grow and change! You are such a smiley, happy little boy, and we are loving every second of life with you.

Love you little one,

Mommy
