Today I took Josie to her very first dentist appointment. She did AWESOME, and when I say awesome, I mean she was perfect. I was so proud of her, and I made sure she knew it, too! She was polite, she talked when they asked her questions, she did exactly everything they told her, no questions asked. She was not afraid, and they (the hygienist and the dentist) were both very impressed with her-they said she did way better than most kids her age. That’s my big girl! The dentist said her teeth spacing is perfect, her bite is great, and all is good! That’s what I wanted to hear! 🙂
I was so impressed with this dentist office, and I am so glad my friend recommended them for Josie. The name of the office is Kid City Smiles, in Hendersonville. The waiting room was equipped with toys and games, and the cleaning room had tvs in the ceiling and was bright and cheery. It was totally kid-friendly. The staff, hygienist, and dentist did a great job of explaining everything to Josie and putting her totally at ease before they started anything. I loved the way they talked to her, instead of me. 🙂 Oh, and I am totally not getting anything for bragging on them-I just truly was very impressed, and would love to help other people have a great experience like we did! 🙂
The hygienist came out to the waiting room for a minute to talk to her and get to know her before taking her back.
Getting her teeth cleaned-she told Josie she was giving her “princess teeth,” which Josie thought was the coolest thing in the world. She also asked Josie who her boyfriend was, and Josie answered “my Daddy.” Doesn’t that just melt your heart a little bit? 🙂
Letting the dentist look at her teeth while watching the movie “Tangled.”

All through! She was so proud of her goody bag and balloon (she got some little toys, a pink t-shirt, a toothbrush, floss, etc.)
