Exercise day 5

Jack did NOT sleep good last night….but that is a whole ‘nother post, that I probably won’t write-suffice it to say, he will eventually sleep, and we are trying some new things tonight to help him sleep better. If it successful, I will tell you about it tomorrow. 

Because Jack did not sleep good, he was in a horrible mood this morning-he was SO tired, and he would not go to sleep, no matter what I did-rocked, bounced, nursed, put him in the bouncy, swing, etc. Nothing worked. I decided this would be the perfect time to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE for a little while. So I bundled the kids up (it was not cold, but really windy) and went up to the middle school to walk. (and yes, I did check the radar before I left-the storms/rain were still quite a ways off, so I knew I had time to safely walk). I like to go to the middle school and walk because I can park at Ta’s (and Josie can use the bathroom if she needs to), plus there are great sidewalks to walk on there. 

Jack had (thankfully) fallen asleep on the way there, so I stuck Josie in the stroller, Jack in the Moby, and we went to walking. I love walking with my babies. I remember being pregnant with Josie that that was one of the things I looked forward to the very most-putting her in the stroller and going for walks and jogs. And, let me tell you, our Bob jogging stroller has paid for itself a million times over-I would buy another in a heartbeat. I have put a million miles on that thing! Plus, Josie loves it, so that is just another good thing about it :). I had originally planned to walk 3 miles, but I failed to take into consideration a few things:

  1. I had a 9 pound baby tied to me, plus I was pushing the stroller against the very strong wind-and that stroller acts like a sail! (and I was pushing against it). This made the walk a little bit more challenging than I was anticipating.

  2. I wasn’t jogging, so it took me longer than I am used to-Jack did great, though-he started fussing right when I got back to my car-perfect timing!

  3. I keep forgetting that I am OUT OF SHAPE.

Anyways, I ended up walking about 2 miles and ¼ of another; not too shabby! 🙂 Definitely a good workout. 

Also, I did 75 crunches tonight.
