Thanksgiving
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We did! I always love Thanksgiving because it is just a day to hang out and be with family, no presents, nothing to do, just hang out. Josie had a good Thanksgiivng, too. She did not nap at ALL on Thursday. She did nap a little on Friday, though. Friday is when we go to Jake’s family’s Thanksgiving. She also went Black Friday shopping on Friday :), which was not bad at all.
I am thankful for…
A God who loved me so much He sent His son to die for me.
My wonderful, perfect for me, loving husband.
My beautiful, sweet, baby girl.
My family-all of them.
A roof over my head and clothes on my back.
Waking up in the morning knowing I am loved.
Friends.
A good job.
What are you thankful for?
Not Me Tuesday
A friend of mine does blog posts like this one every week, except she does it on Mondays. I really enjoy hers, and I look forward to it every week…so hopefully you will enjoy it too!
I most definitely did not let Josie come to bed with us on Saturday morning so we could try to get some extra sleep….I would never do something like that, because I wouldn’t want to spoil her.
Josie did not try to take a bite of my tortilla and I sure didn’t let her taste it. That would jut be wrong, since she is only supposed to eat baby food right now.
There is definitely not a monstrous pile of laundry in my bathroom right now…I would never get behind on laundry!
I did not dry the same load of laundry 3 separate times, just so I wouldn’t have to iron my clothes….I am not that lazy, and besides, I always take the laundry right out of the dryer and hang it up immediately so that it does not get wrinkled….
What did you not do this week?
New Trick!
Josie has a new trick-she can sit up by herself! She is very proud of herself. She finally figured it out today. She has been trying for awhile, but always falls to the side. Today she finally learned how to “catch” herself when she goes to fall-check out the video!
Blanket
Well, Josie has a new preference. Now, when she wakes up in the middle of the night, I can get her calm just by handing her a little silk blanket to hold on to. I think she is still just getting used to being unswaddled, and isn’t sure what to do with her hands. As soon as she gets a hold of something, she calms down and goes back to sleep. The only thing is, it makes me nervous to let her sleep with a blanket, because I don’t want it to get on her face. Jake had a good suggestion, though-give her one of the crocheted blankets I made, because it has lots of holes. We’ll figure it out though.
