Things that I miss

There are a lot of things that I took from granted, and now, since I have been on bedrest for over a month, I have realized it. I miss a lot of things:

  • Going to church.
  • Having a reason to put on shoes.
  • Cooking
  • Going to a store (any store! even grocery shopping!)
  • Walking around my yard, just because.
  • Walking, in general
  • Feeding Percy
  • Driving
  • Fixing my hair
  • Wearing clothes that do not resemble pajamas.
  • Cleaning (I NEVER thought I would miss that, but I do)
  • Sitting– on the couch, in a chair, anywhere!
  • Making the bed.

This is not an exhaustive list, just some of the everyday things that I did without thinking, and I now miss. But-I know that it will all be worth it in the end, and I will soon go back to taking all of these things for granted (although I hope that this experience will make me a little more grateful).

Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

Matthew 20:26-28

Not much to report today. Today was just another quiet day at home on the couch. I did start on my 5th blanket. This one is pink, and will be for a girl I teach with. I will post a pic when I get done.

Positives for the day:

Daddy and Jake fixed our roof that was leaking.

Percy got to run all day-he is so cute.

Jake hung the new roman shade for the nursery. I think I am going to decorate it with some cute ribbon.

Jake was home all day.

28 weeks

Well, I am now 28 weeks pregnant, and I had a doctor’s appointment today. Everything is good and the same, I am still on bedrest. The doctor told me she wants to get at least 8 more weeks-and I do, too! So please pray that Josie continues to stay in there for at least 8 more weeks.

Positives for the day-

I got to get out of my house-yay!

I got to eat in a restaurant.

I got good news at the doctor.

The roman shades for the nursery came today :).

Well, today has been another good day. I finished the blanket I was working on for Jennifer Bell today. I have now crocheted 4 blankets, total, since I have been on bed rest. I am planning to do at least 2, maybe 3, more. Here are my positives for the day:

I got to go outside.

I got see Casey, my sister.

I finished a blanket.

I found a really cute rug for the nursery.

I am excited about tomorrow, because I get to leave my house to go to the doctor. I never thought I would be so excited about going to the doctor, but it is a great change of scenery, and plus, I have a lot of questions for her tomorrow!

So, I have had a lot of fun with this blog today. I have decided I am going to post my positives for the day. I am trying to think as positively as I can, and today was a great day!

Positives:

The nursery is polka dotted!

I got to sit outside w/Jake today while he grilled and it smelled so good!

I shopped online today, and it was fun 🙂

I learned how to post this blog.

I got to see my mom, Mrs. Carol, Shshr, and Nana.
